J went into a bed at two years old and settled in pretty well. He had a basic Ikea bed, which was H's before she got her mid-sleeper bed (sent by the fairies, obviously), which was functional but not exactly pretty.
Then in swooped the Story and everything changed. I'm even planning a room redecorate in honour of this gorgeous piece of furniture.
