My Week That Was

Here we are at Monday again, and linking up with Katie at Mummy, Daddy & Me Makes Three here is My Week That Was.

Two Under Two: My Concerns

Last September John and I found out that we were expecting number two. Considering it took us four years to conceive Holly there was certainly no way we expected to fall on so quickly, despite me being unable to resist taking a test every month (we should own shares in Clearblue, I swear)! Last week we found out that in May, aged eighteen months herself, Holly will have a little brother. We are of course extremely excited that we are exacting our second child. At one point we thought we'd never have a baby ourselves so to have two is incredible to us, and to have one of each is just a gift. That is not to say that the thought of having two children under the age of two is ever so slightly intimidating and as our due date grows closer and closer (and my bump grows huger and huger) panic is starting to slowly creep in. How will I cope with the sleepless nights again, knowing I will then have to get up in the morning and be there for Holly? How will I divide myself equally between my two children? Will Holly resent her little brother for taking away so much of Mummy and Daddy's attention that she has always had all to herself?

My Week That Was

It's that day of the week again - Monday - and if you're anything like me you're wishing it was still the weekend! But that also means it's time to join Katie at Mummy Daddy and Me Makes Three for My Week That Was. Here's the recap of my week.

Should Your Child Watch Disney?

There are a lot of people who are against Disney and believe the message the establishment portrays is not something we should be teaching our children. It is true that the 'perfect world' where even your enemies end up being your friends (Mickey never falls out with Peter in Mickey Mouse's Clubhouse, despite endless provocation) and everyone gets their dream come true isn't very realistic, but does that mean our children shouldn't learn these teachings?

My Week That Was

This week I am joining in the linky over at the lovely blog Mummy, Daddy & Me Makes Three. Here's my week that was...

Not So Slow Cooking

After hearing so much about slow cookers from the many mummy bloggers out there, as well as my mummy friends, I decided it was time to try one myself. Having a bit of an aversion to cooking but with very little choice, being the one who doesn't work, I always dread the thought of what I was going to prepare each night. So when I heard there was a tool out there that did all the hard work for me, I would be a fool to say no! So after some pretty pleases directed at my own lovely Mum, on Christmas Day I unwrapped the Breville 4.5 litre slow cooker with glee, and just a smidgen of trepidation - was this really to answer to my culinary prayers?

What a Difference a New Year Makes!

I can't believe it has been six months since I last posted on Hollybobbs. It makes me sad to think that with everything going on my blogging had to take a backseat, as I had really enjoyed creating the site and had put a lot of time and effort into posting and creating each article, however with a Transatlantic move on the horizon and everything else that has gone on since, it was the way it had to be. Allow me to fill you in on the recent events in the Hollybobbs household...
