Now with digital images things have changed slightly - no longer do we have to get your pose just right for that single photo, we can take frames upon frames and simply delete whatever we don't like! Over the last eight years from when I came first across photobooks online, I have created many a photo book to display my digital images. I find if I order prints I end up with stacks gathering dust, waiting for me to put them together. With a photobook, you can complete it on the computer and that's it. With things like autofill it can be so quick and easy to create a place to hold your treasured memories.
But I still sometimes harp back to the days of real, printed photos. The sepia-edged glossy ones where you are sat on your nan's knee in her back garden. The type that flood your senses with memories of sounds and smells and take you straight back to those days gone by. The photos may be faded, the paper curling at the edges, but that all adds to the richness of the experience. My mum and dads photos are now kept in an old suitcase at the back of a cupboard, and I could easily spend many an hour with that dusty suitcase, the old albums that smell of age, soaking up the memories of all those happy days.

Truprint are one of the high street stores I remember, where my mum used to get her photos printed. She would drop off her film, choose the size and how many copies and then we would go back a week later and pick them up. I even remember the little green paper envelopes the photos would be returned to us in, along with the negatives, which inevitably ended up unused and often lost. You could even order your prints in different sizes all on one photo, so you would have to cut out which one you wanted to use.
So to celebrate the days gone by, Truprint want you to share your favourite photo and why. Maybe it's a treasured moment from your childhood days, or it could be a photo of you and your children. Maybe a poloroid has created your favourite image or perhaps you are more digital savvy and prefer an SLR for your captures? Whatever the picture, we would love to hear all about it and why it is your favourite memory.
