BML16 Video Round Up

A couple of weeks ago saw the annual blogging conferences, BML16 (otherwise known as Britmums Live), take place. Hundreds of bloggers, myself included, flocked to London to learn, socialise and eat cake and generally have our regular catch-up that some of us wait all year for. It was a really great day and I vlogged during my time there:

Britmums Live: A Video Round-Up

If you saw my post or any bloggers recently you won't have missed that the Britmums Live blogging conference took place last weekend. As a vlogger myself I decided this year to put the camera down and try to focus on enjoying it, however lots of others took to their iPhones, DSLR's and video cam's to share the day with everyone. Here is a round-up of the videos out there, so if you missed it or are feeling bit nostalgic about your time have a look at these:

Practically Perfect Mum filmed the Guinness World Record Attempt that took place. I missed this bit so it's great to watch what happened, it looked hilarious!

The Gibblets are a mum and dad team who create daily vlogs, so of course they had to film their time at Britmums Live. They have done a video for each day, here is their second installment with a quick shot of me to boot!

Amy from Fun Being Mum has shared her experience of the weekend, I love seeing other people's perspectives of the day and it looked like she had lots of fun.

The lovely ladies at My Two Mums are also daily vloggers and filmed both days. This is their day two, which I am also in (along with a sneaky shot of me behind Kirsty in the Embrace Happy session!), this video has a beautiful ending too so definitely have a look.

Nadine from Business Mum filmed the fantastic keynote from Deliciously Ella, it is quite long but do bare with it as there is a private interview Ella took part in with just five bloggers at the end, well worth watching!

Emma from Twin Mum and Dad has put together a photo collage of her time at Britmums and has some great shots in there.



Jess from Mrs Helicopter has created a slightly bonkers but very fun video along with Lady Emsy, have a look for lots of laughter and boob talk!

Lauren from Blogger Mummy Lauren filmed her day, starting at the airport! I really enjoyed watching her footage and take of her time there, she also has some lovely shots of her time in London.

Finally the Ginger Warrior's Britmums video is renowned now and doesn't disappoint. Full of energy and with lots of chat to different people and brands she really sums up the buzz at the event.

Britmums Live 2015 - My Third Year

Last weekend I attended the yearly blog conference, Britmums Live. For anyone who isn't aware it is the UK's largest parent blogger conference based in London and takes part over two days. It is attended by several hundred bloggers and there we get together, learn a bit and chat a bit more. For many is it the only time to see many of those we talk to online on a daily basis and it is also a sneaky break away from home and a chance to be ourselves for a couple of days.

Surviving A Blog Conference With Chronic Fatigue

This weekend sees the return of the renowned blogging conference Britmums Live, and for those of us in the blogging world with chronic illness, the anxiety will have well and truly set in. As much as we want to go to these events and even look forward to them, there is always that little nagging voice in the back of out heads wondering if we can do this, and if we are slightly crazy for trying.

In the two years since I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue I have attended six conferences, most of which were in London. Some I have come away from proud of myself for doing it, some having found some incredible support, and some crying my eyes out, completely overwhelmed and wondering why I bothered.

If you suffer with chronic illness you may be feeling similar to myself, but I'm here to tell you that I have done it and you can too. Here are a few of my suggestions for making your time away manageable and dare I say, enjoyable too!

After a bit of back and forth I have decided to attend the parent blogger conference, Britmums Live once more. I was unsure at first as to whether I wanted a change of scenery, having attended for the last two years, however in the end didn't want to miss out on such a great day surrounded by amazing brands and inspirational bloggers.

As I have done previously, I was on the lookout for one or two sponsors who I could offer my support and shout about for the next twelve months, and I am thrilled to announce them today.

Last week seven hundred parent bloggers swooped on London and into The Brewery for the biggest blogging conference of the year. It is an event we all look forward from the day the tickets are released and plan down to the last minute.

Britmums Live 2014 - My Experience

I don't really know where to begin with this post and I have a feeling it may be a bit of a ramble, so apologies.

On Friday I excitedly hopped on a train down to London once again for the monumental blogging event of the year - Britmums Live. It is the event of the year in our little world and one so many of us look forward to for the full twelve months prior - as soon as we book our tickets the day they go on sale and set a reminder in our phone for the date train tickets become available. It is a day that sees hundreds of us plan our outfits, glam ourselves up and flock upon the Brewery in London. We all sit in a room, side by side, cry, laugh and learn together and our community becomes strengthened with every word and every embrace. It is immense.

And this year it all proved too much.

Back in January I once again began my search for a sponsor for this years parent blogger conference - Britmums Live. I also contacted some brands who I particularly loved and hoped to work with. I am now thrilled to announce that two of these brands said yes!

Britmums Live 2014 Sponsorship Plea

I can't believe a year has gone since I last attended Britmums Live! A whirlwind of brands, bloggers and buddies it was the highlight of my blogging year and certainly the tipping point of my blog from being a hobby to something much more important to me. Since then I have worked with some fantastic brands and started some blogging relationships which have proved invaluable.

Already I am thinking about this years event, although considering I bought my ticket as soon as they were released last year, this is not a surprise! 

Last year I was sponsored by the online baby boutique The Essential One and I was thrilled to be part of their brand. Thanks to them I was able to attend the event and learn so much which I could then report back to them with and hopefully help them pick up a few things too. I also wrote several posts about their brand and worked alongside them with several campaigns. Unfortunately Baby J is now too old for their clothes so I am on the look out for a new company to work with.

I have now been blogging three years, although and I can barely believe it, and whilst I would not regard myself as I pro, I feel I know my way around pretty well. I have a significant following on twitter and over the last year have familiarised myself with Instagram and Pinterest as well as building my Facebook fan page. I am now trying to start vlogging and have set up a YouTube channel and tentatively dipped my toe in the waters. Over and over again I read that YouTube is set to be huge in 2014 and with it already having 1 billion subscribers, second only to Facebook, I feel it is the place to be and am excited to learn and share more.

So down to the nitty gritty. For any brands who aren't sure what Britmums Live is all about, it is the UK’s biggest, two-day social media conference and blogger event taking place on 20th & 21st June 2014, devoted entirely to a parenting audience and run by the UK’s largest parent blogging network of more than 4k influential and engaged bloggers. That's some pretty big numbers! For my sponsorship I am looking for my ticket price to be covered (£65), my train fare (around £90) and my hotel (£60), which is a grand total of £215.

And what would you get in return?

-A post introducing you as my Brit Mums Live Sponsor and three subsequent posts throughout the year. My blog receives around 1.8k views a month. Whilst I say four posts, last year I mentioned my sponsor in many more than this, not to mention tweets, retweets, facebook shares and instagram photos! I am extremely committed to any brand I work with and dedicated to sharing their products.

-Your brand name mentioned in all my posts, tweets and mentions of Brit Mums Live throughout my social presence, which totals 5k followers.

-A badge / advert on the homepage of my blog for a period of 12 months with a direct link to your website. 

-To use your product or wear your item throughout the event as well as hand out  business cards highlighting you as my sponsor.

My Time At Britmums Live! 2013

Last weekend I travelled down to London to attend the UK's largest Parenting Blogging Conference - Britmums Live! I had high hopes for the weekend and Leyla and I were very giddy on the train down (the free wine did help that too). I was also a little anxious - nervous about being in a room full of people I didn't really know, and concern that those online friendships I'd put years into wouldn't quite measure up in 'real life'.

I Am Attending Britmums Live!

In two short weeks I am attending the UK's biggest social media conference in London, Britmums Live! Attended by more than 4000 bloggers and various fantastic brands it is an incredible opportunity to learn more about blogging, meet other like-minded people and make new contacts. I am travelling down on the train and staying overnight in a hotel and am looking forward to a little time off as 'mummy' and will instead be 'Lisa from Hollybobbs'
