Win a Hamper From Keelham Farm

With Christmas around the corner now, we have been enjoying some cosy nights in, snuggling up together and relaxing as a family. Keelham Farm, who are based in Yorkshire, recently sent us one of their hampers to try so we grabbed our blankets, opened our hamper and settled down for a Christmas film.

We were sent the Cosy Night In hamper which was filled with chocolatey treats, slippers and a mug. We were all really excited about the chocolate drops which we used to make proper hot chocolate - none of that powdered stuff for us! It was all absolutely delicious and added that luxurious touch to our own cosy night in.

I've put together a little video of our night in which you can see below.

I also have one of there hampers up for grabs! Enter the Gleam below and you could win your choice of hamper worth up to £50.

BML16 Video Round Up

A couple of weeks ago saw the annual blogging conferences, BML16 (otherwise known as Britmums Live), take place. Hundreds of bloggers, myself included, flocked to London to learn, socialise and eat cake and generally have our regular catch-up that some of us wait all year for. It was a really great day and I vlogged during my time there:

Growing Your Youtube Audience

growing your youtube subscribers

If you're a member of the Your Youtube Facebook group you will that from time to time we pick a chat and set an hour aside to have a chat about it amongst ourselves. It's great for those who want to pick up tips from others and for giving you a bit of inspiration to get your vlog on. In the group there's a huge range of vloggers ranging from people with over 1000 subscribers to some only just starting out, so it was really interesting to get everyone's perspective on this. Last week's chat was about growing subscribers, so I asked everyone what they thought could help increase their subscribers and here are the ideas:

Your Youtube #64

Hello and welcome back to Your Youtube, and Happy Easter! I'm so excited for the arrival of this holiday as in a week we are going to Spain for a holiday, and I cannot wait! In the meantime we've got a lovely weekend planned with the children so I should have lots of video fodder!

For this week's video of the week I've gone with my lovely co-host Sian, who has put together a beautiful letter to her daughter and created a video where she reads the letter. Sian has done this a few times now and I think she writes with such tenderness and it really shows in her video.

Over to the linky - please share no more than two videos and comment on at least two in return. Don't forget to join us in the Your Youtube Facebook group where we have a lovely little community for support and advice and where we also host the weekly chat.

Filming Videos On Your IPhone

Ever since I decided to give YouTube a try over a year ago I have absolutely fallen in love with making videos. Whilst I'm still not quite up to speed with uploading regularly, I am always filming little clips of the children or the days out we take. After taking part in Xanthe Berkley's Make Film course I discovered how to make my films just that little bit better by thinking about content and different angles and filming styles.

Whilst I do like making films on fancy equipment - after much waiting I finally ordered myself a Canon G7X and, oh my, how I love it. However for the most part I use my iPhone for filming as it's so handy to just get it out of my pocket and press record. Today I thought I'd would share a few tips I've picked up for filming on your mobile to help you create great videos without spending a lot of money on expensive camera.

Your Youtube #52

Here we are, at number 52 and a whole year since this linky started! I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported me and my journey to grow our youtube family community, your support has meant the world and helped spawn the group and chat. There will be more to come in the next 52 weeks so make sure you stick around!

This time, to celebrate a whole year of Your Youtube I've decided to pick a video of the year. It wasn't an easy decision as there has been so many amazing videos linked up, but I've chosen this Draw My Life video from Jules at The Girl Behind The Camera as not only is a DML difficult to film (which I know from experience) I think her story is a pretty incredible one and I love hearing it in this way.

So, for our last linky of 2015 hare your videos below! Please link up no more than two and make sure you comment on the host and at least one other. This linky will run until January and Sian and I will be taking a break over the festive period. Have a fantastic Christmas to you all and a Happy New Year!

Your Youtube #50

Welcome back to Your Youtube, the video linky where we help each other and support each other in order to grow our community! unfortunately linky tools is currently not working so I have been unable to choose a video of the week, but as soon as it's back up and running I will get over to your videos! Because of this we're using Simply Linked this week for you to add your videos to.

As I mentioned previously I am the new Videos Round-Up Editor for Britmums, replacing the brilliant Nadine who has had a fantastic promotion. I will be considering all your videos for December's round ups so make sure to add them to the linky! As always, please link up no more than two videos. Ensure you watch and comment on the host video and the video before your own so that way we all get some likes and comments.

Vlogging: What I've Learnt

For the last few weeks I have been running a Your Youtube vlogging chat on Sunday evenings on twitter, where each week I set a topic, ask a few questions and a few of us get together and have a natter. It's a fun, friendly hour, some weeks are quieter than others, but there's a nice group of us who choose to learn from each other and support one another. So today I wanted to put together a bit of a round-up from the last few chats and what I've picked up from them so far.

Your Youtube #48

Hello and welcome back to Your Youtube! I'm loving getting back into all your videos again, although I have to say I'm not quite into the habit of keeping up as quickly as I should! I'm also really enjoying co-hosting the linky with the lovely Sian. This week's video of the week is from My Petit Canard who has shared her second ever video - a gorgeous Boden clothing haul!

Over with the linky, you should all know what you're doing by now but if you're new to it all, we ask that you watch, like and comment on the host video and at least one other. Try and watch the video before your own that way everyone gets some comments, and we can share each other's hard work. Have fun!
