Bents Christmas Wonderland

Ever since I moved to Lancashire, Bents Garden and Home has been a must-visit at Christmas time. They are known in the area for their amazing displays, in fact my mum now insists that I take her every year and Mr H has decided we MUST own one of those light-up village scenes for each year - so far we are up to four and I'm not quite sure where they're going to go this time!

A few of us were invited for tea in the fantastic Fresh Approach restaurant and then toured the store to revel in their Christmas delights. Only the weekend before we visited, Santa had arrived, along with real reindeer and I heard the place was jam packed with children eager to catch a glimpse of Saint Nick.

This particular evening there were lots of demonstrations on from gift wrapping, which I have to say was so impressive although that poor girl must be inundated with family asking her to beautiful wrap all their presents, to tree decorating.

One of the best things about Bents at Christmas time is their displays. I remember last year them having a fully decorated and fabulous upside down Christmas tree and there is always something crazy but fantastic to be awed at. It always puts me right in the Christmas spirit once I've visited and this time was no exception.

Stags head anyone?

The circus display
From 70's style decor to a circus theme, the aisles were jammed packed with glitz and sparkle enough to make even the most miserable crack a bit of festive cheer. There were baby's first Christmas goodies, Santa signs and tinsel galore. I always love to buy something for the tree each year as I find their products are such good quality. In fact we have several items around the house that we still love, from  Bents.
Angel wings, for something different?

Lots of nativity scenes
As usual the village displays did not disappoint. Set up as smaller individual scenes, they still made me feel all warm and fuzzy as the houses lit up with a warm glow and the little figures danced on the ice. The train whizzing around its track is the perfect way to complete the scene.

If you are looking for something to do the Christmas, a trip to Bents is a must. They have several events on for adults and children in the run up to the big day, so definitely head over to their website and have a look.

Merry Christmas!
