Meet The Midwife With Cussons

Last week myself and a few bloggers enjoyed a lovely afternoon at PZ Cussons HQ. It was a special day for the brand and one special lady in particular, Kerry Evans, who is their chosen midwife to receive the financial support of £60,000 to enable her to undertake a PhD, starting this month. Working with the Royal College of Midwives and Wellbeing of Women, the sponsorship is the first of its kind to enable research for a PhD whilst allowing the midwife to continue working in the field.

It was a great opportunity for mums to hear the information behind the Fellowship as well as meet Kerry and speak to her about our own experiences and her planned research. Whilst I was there I discussed my different birth stories in the USA and UK, and we talked about others' experiences including emergency and planned sections, PPH and our experiences with antenatal care. It was really interesting to hear others' stories and the quality of the care they felt they received.

The fantastic Mum and Me range

Add to that a delicious afternoon tea including vanilla sponge cake and clotted cream, we all thoroughly enjoyed our few hours of conversation and time away from the little ones (apart from the gorgeous Eleanor, but we were more than happy to have a cuddle).

You can visit the Cussons website for more information, and don't forget to have a look at the fantastic Wellbeing of Women to see the wonderful things they do.
