I have to say, we didn't plan our trip well as we decided to visit over Easter weekend when there was a Roald Dahl event on and so was bound to be busy. We didn't leave the house until 10am and by the time we arrived the amount of cars trying to get inside was insane and we queued over an hour. It wasn't organised very well so my advice to anyone planning a visit at peak times is to go early.
However once we got inside the children adored the freedom they had to explore and run around. After the promise of a turn in the park later on we had a bit of a wander before deciding the visit the gardens and the wooden adventure play area at the bottom.
After the gardens we head back to the play area in front of the house, where mum and I sat in the sunshine for a bit whilst the children had a play. We decided not to venture much further as it was just too busy and queues everywhere were enormous, but it was definitely good to get out of the house and give the children time to run off some steam.
I put together a video of our Easter celebrations which includes our trip to Tatton, which you can watch below.
