Bugaboo Launch The Buffalo

The ultimate buggy brand, Bugaboo, have recently launched their latest product - the Buffalo. A few of us were invited along to Adorable Tots in the House of Fraser, Manchester, for a demonstration along with every event requirement - cake!

First of all I would like to give a mention to Adorable Tots, as they provided a beautiful setting and were very friendly hosts. They also demonstrated time and time again to an agog group of mums the ultimate daddy gadget, whilst remaining extremely patient!

Onto the event. I have always admired Bugaboo from far - they are a tad out of my price range, if I am honest - so I know very little about them. The event was a great chance to speak to the brand a bit more and get to know their products. It was interesting to hear the background of the company, I thought they had been going for some time, so to hear they only came about in 1994 was a surprise considering how successful a brand Bugaboo is. They actually only have four main buggies in their range, however there are various special editions and some stunning styles, including collaborations with Viktor & Rolf and The Andy Warhol Foundation.

Their latest release, the Buffalo, is designed specifically for all-terrain purposes. It folds reasonably compact, has a large sun canopy and can carry a child up to 23kg.

Pros:

Folds down into one piece and stands up on its own.
Can be folded down into two pieces by removing seat for even smaller storage.
The sun canopy unzips to expand further, which is great to keep the wind and rain out or to encourage sleep.
It has a separate bassinet so can be used from birth.
It can be adapted to fit a car seat.
It has lots of storage underneath for bags.
It is very easy to unclip the seat from the base to make it forward or rear facing.

Large range of colours
Cons:
Folded down into one piece it would be too large for smaller boots and the seat and possibly wheels would have to be removed.
It is quite heavy - 27lb.
Maxi Cosi car seat adapters have to be bought separately.
At £859 it is at the higher price end.

With sun canopy down

As you can see, there aren't many cons to this buggy. It is very clever, its ability to be pushed one handed and its smooth ride is excellent and it is honestly a beautiful buggy. You can easily and see how high quality it is and how much thought and time has gone into the design. It is definitely a buggy I would be proud to own.

*I was invited to attend the event with Bugaboo, however all opinions are my own.
